In these difficult economic times, it is heartwarming that so many of our local primary school pupils understand the need for the emergency food deliveries offered by Sherborne Food Bank. We were recently delighted to meet two pupils representing the collection of Harvest Festival donations from All Saints Primary School in Bishops Caundle, accompanied by their teacher, Chris Grant-Peterkin.
Their contribution was gratefully included in essential deliveries the Food Bank undertakes, in Sherborne and the surrounding village communities. The school should be applauded for helping young people understand the importance of social responsibility and the positive impact it can have in the community.
