Sherborne Food Bank’s statistics are now in for 2022 and they demonstrate a sharp increase in demand compared to 2021.

Excerpts from our Annual Report:

1901 food parcels delivered (47% increase on 2021)
218 households were helped
298 adults were helped (22% increase)
221 children were helped (13% increase)

Of the 218 households:
98 were single occupancy
66 were 2 adults or 1 child + 1 adult households
42 were families
12 were large families

137 households were supported for up to 6 weeks (+17)
41 were supported for 7-12 weeks (+7)
14 were supported for 13-18 weeks (+4)
10 were supported for 19-24 weeks (+3)
16 were supported for 25+ weeks (+9)
